British baritone Jerome Knox was born into a musical family and attended the Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School, London where he sang in the Schola Cantorum. Jerome graduated from Edinburgh University with a degree in Classical Studies and completed a Masters in Vocal Performance at the Royal College of Music, studying with Dinah Harris and Russell Smythe. He has recently been awarded a full scholarship to join the Alexander Gibson Opera school at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Autumn 2016.
Operatic roles include the title role in Don Giovanni (Hampstead Garden Opera), Leporello, Don Giovanni/Mozart, Oreste, Iphigenie en Tauride/Gluck (Euphonia), Don Pomponio, La Gazzetta/ Rossini, Le Fauteuil L'enfant et les Sortilèges/Ravel, Sprecher Die Zauberflöte/Mozart (Royal College of Music International Opera School), Melisso Alcina/Handel (Ryedale festival Opera), Masetto Don Giovanni/Mozart (Co-opera Co, London), Nick Shadow The Rake's Progress/Stravinsky, Somnus in Semele/Handel, Badger and Harasta in The Cunning Little Vixen/Janácek. He created the role of WH Auden in Journeying Boys by Iain Burnside at RCM and performed the Lieutenant in Yeoman of the Guard/Sullivan in Portsmouth Guildhall, as well as creating the role of Professor in Hogarth's Stages at the Tete a tete festival. Jerome recently performed live on BBC Radio 3 with Kitty Whately at the Wigmore Hall.

Bach's Christmas Oratorio (BWV 248), Haydn's Creation, (St Magnus Cathedral, Orkney), Maurice Duruflé's Requiem (London Symphony Orchestra at St Lukes, London) Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem, Puccini’s Messa di Gloria, (Dunfermline Choral), Haydn's Cacilienmesse (Greyfriars Kirk, Edinburgh), G.F. Handel's Dixit Dominus (St Giles' Cathedral, Edinburgh) and J.S. Bach's Wachet auf (BWV 140) (Hutcheson's Choral Society, Glasgow). Jerome Knox has performed with John Butt and the Dunedin Consort throughout Scotland and on tour in Halle, Germany, the Chapelle Royale, Chateau de Versailles, France and Verden, Germany.
